Monger Elementary to Temporarily Relocate After Water Line Break

Monger Elementary students will be temporarily relocated after a water line break caused significant damage to the school building overnight Thursday.

District officials say water damage spread throughout the building, prompting immediate response from facilities staff and a contracted restoration company now assessing and beginning cleanup work.

To maintain instruction, students participated in a synchronous eLearning day on Friday, May 1. That remote learning schedule will continue Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5, giving teachers time to prepare for in-person instruction from a temporary location.

Beginning Wednesday, May 6, Monger Elementary students and staff will move temporarily to Bristol Elementary while restoration work is completed. Students will be transported daily by bus, and district officials say additional transportation details will be shared with families early next week.

School leaders say they will continue to prioritize safety and will provide updates as repairs progress.
