The Republican sheriff’s race heading into the November ballot will be decided on Tuesday, May 5, in Elkhart County.
There are two Republicans who are running in hopes of taking over for Sheriff Jeff Siegel. They are Mike Culp and Brian Holloman. Both currently work within the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

Holloman emphasizes depth of experience and investigative expertise, along with decades of service across multiple divisions.
Also in Elkhart County, we’re watching the races for County Clerk, with incumbent Patty Pickens facing a challenge from fellow Republican Olivia Olvera. On the Democratic side, Thomas Butler and Megan Graham each hope to earn the spot.
In Elkhart County Council District 2, there are three Republicans vying for a spot on the November ballot to take over for Randy Yohn who announced he’s not seeing re-election. The contenders are Brian Dickerson, Stephen Gray, and John Perry.
In State District 48, Democrats Carl Stutsman and Emily Yaw are competing for the November ballot in hopes of unseating Republican Doug Miller.
In State District 49, three Democrats, Monica Garbaciak, Susan Lawson, and Michelle Milne are competing to take on GOP incumbent Joanna King this fall.
