Chicago Bulls release Jaden Ivey after social media controversy
The Chicago Bulls have released guard Jaden Ivey following controversial remarks he shared on social media.
Ivey, a Marian High School graduate, posted videos expressing religious views while criticizing Pride Month. The posts drew backlash and prompted a response from the team.
Head coach Billy Donovan said the comments were not in line with the organization’s standards, stressing the importance of respect and professionalism within the team.
Ivey, 24, is the son of Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey. He was selected fifth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft after playing at Purdue University.
