Boy, 15, injured in shooting late Sunday night in Elkhart

A 15-year-old boy was injured in a shooting late Sunday night in Elkhart.

Police were called around 10:57 p.m. to the 1200 block of Columbian Avenue after receiving a report of a shooting with injuries. Officers arrived and found the teenager suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators later located a possible shooting scene in the 1100 block of Grant Street and collected evidence. No other injuries were reported.

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect. The shooting remains under investigation.
